Transport office of Bara district collected Two crore twenty lakh in four months
Previously, it was necessary to go to Birganj and Hetouda to get a driver’s license, but now that the problem has been solved, now that the driver’s license can be issued in Kalaiya, customers from Bara district as well as other districts have started coming to get the service. Driving license has been issued after taking the written and trial test of vehicles such as scooters, tempos and tractors.
With the support of the Madhes state government, the service of the transport management office was started in Gangapur, Kalaiya, the headquarters of Bara district, from the 25th of November and since the day the service was started, it has managed to collect more than two crores in revenue. Nawaz Hussain, the head of the said transport office, said that the service is being provided to the customers who come to this office in a convenient way. Currently, most of the transport management offices are often getting tangled up in various financial matters.
Head of the office Nawaz Hussain said that although the manpower is less, the staff of the office are working round the clock and providing services. He said that the staff in the office work from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm and arranged to give licenses as soon as possible. He also informed that all the services of the Traffic Management Office of Bara district will be provided online, so that no work should be done through middlemen.
Applications for licenses for new and additional categories have been opened in that office since 23rd of Falgun and so far only 558 people have passed the application of 1190 people in that office and have reached the final stage of getting a driver’s license. Even though they have passed the written test because they have read and written, they have failed in the practical test.
